What is assessed?
Generally, you are assessed by:
- Your qualification; and
- Your work experience; and/or
- The demonstration report of the project you have done; and/or
- Reference letter.
Skill recognition for licensing
Workplace in Australia is highly regulated. Many occupations or businesses are required to have the related licence to perform their duty.
Who need it?
You wish to work or have a business in the field of your skills. You have an equivalent license or registration in another country, or possess the required skills and training to be recognised in Australia.

What is required?
You are required to provide the following documents or evidences

Qualification assessment for study or employment
Your overseas higher education, postsecondary technical and vocational education needs to be assessed before taking a further study or employment in Australia.
Who need it?
Your overseas educational qualification needs to be recognised by Australian education provider for admission, or by your employer, or by the immigration department for visa purpose.
Where to be assessed?
All overseas educational qualification will be assessed by the Department of Education and Training.

What is required?
You are required to provide the following documents:
- award document e.g. degree, diploma or certificate;
- transcripts;
- if applying for assessment of a doctoral degree, the abstract from your thesis, evidence of publication, names of the examining committee award documents and transcripts of your previous postsecondary qualification(s) even if you do not want them assessed.
